Motivational People

Hi everyone. For those following my sort of diary, some will already know but… I have been loosing my motivation. I feel like after the first month I hit a plateau and its making me struggle.

How do you keep your motivation in the beginning of your journey ?
I see lots of videos in Youtube, follow some people which I admire for their weight loss. The people who motivates me are those who achieved their goals and keep at it, those who went from obese to fit and keep on their track.

Amy’s glo up

Let’s start with some context – I’m Amy, a 22 year old student in Canada. Grew up with terrible eating habits in an obese family. Now in an intense course that keeps me at school from 8am-10pm on most days (goodbye, cooking and barre), and on a very limited budget. Without wanting to assign any blame, because of my upbringing, I didn’t feel as bad just going for the cheap junk food options and no exercise (“that’s the student life”, right?). But even under these limited conditions I feel I…

Hello, newbie here

My name is Lisa. I thought it might be a good idea to spend some time on a message board with people on a similar journey.

I am 5'7". Last March I reached 416lb, and my bloodwork showed an a1c of 6.1. I was officially prediabetic. After a bit of research, I decided to try a keto diet. Since then I have lost 95lbs. My bloodwork last month showed my a1c dropped to 5.3; normal range, so no longer prediabetic. Yeah!

I have had a few tweeks along the way. But currently I am trying to…

Gaining pounds after cardio

Hey Ya'll,

For the past two weeks I have been doing nothing but cardio. 40 minutes for lunch and 40 minutes after work on elliptical for both sessions. I am noticing a difference in my stomach area and I am feeling the difference too. However after my first 2 weeks it appears that my weight on the scale hasn't changed. I still weigh the same but feel thinner. I am not doing any kind of muscle building, just cardio on elliptical.

Any thoughts? I've read so many things about how muscles…

Starting over again!

Hi, everyone! Not technically a newcomer, but it’s been so long since I’ve taken care of my health that I practically am. :p

Intro time! My name is Amy, I’m a 22 year old student living in Canada. My entire family has a problem with obesity, and I grew up with fairly bad eating and exercise habits. I was able to lose a good amount of weight once, really changing my habits gradually over a long period of time – earned my fame as the healthy one in the family. But I’ve lost track over the…

Kyle's Diary

Greetings. I am 30, and I recently reached my record high weight around 280 lbs. I have been stuck around this weight for the past 6 months or so. I have been biking 10 miles per day as my way to get to work and back. I thought the biking alone would make me lose weight, but it didn't. So I started skipping breakfast and not eating sweets (cake, ice cream, candy, etc.). I had done this a few years earlier for about year, and it had worked for me. But after I got married I gave up the…
